About MP Wellness, a Boutique Psychology Practice in Hermosa Beach

A small practice, on purpose

MP Wellness is a boutique psychology practice at 555 Pier Ave. in Hermosa Beach. Dr. Maddison Paul founded it to give South Bay families something that can be hard to find: clear answers about how a child learns and thinks, from a clinician who takes the time to explain them.

Most of our work is psychological assessment. We see all ages and specialize in evaluations for children and teens: ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, and complex clinical evaluations for teens with severe or treatment-resistant challenges. We also offer psychoeducational, neuropsychological, adult ADHD, gifted and testing-accommodations evaluations, and can attend IEP meetings and observe at school. We offer individual therapy for children, teens and adults too.

How we work

• Precise. We say what the testing shows, what it doesn't, and why. Every report explains scores in plain language.
• Unhurried. You have time to ask questions, at the first call and at the feedback session.
• Practical. Recommendations are specific enough for a teacher, a tutor or a pediatrician to use.
• Local. Dr. Paul grew up here. She knows the schools, the pace and the pressures South Bay families face.

Who we serve

We see families from Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes and across the South Bay. Many are referred by a teacher, school psychologist, pediatrician or tutor. Others find us after searching for answers on their own.

We see people of all ages for testing and for therapy. Dr. Paul works with families and schools throughout the South Bay, including Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach schools. Therapy is available with Dr. Paul or with psychological associates who work under her supervision, in the office or by telehealth.

If you’re a pediatrician, school psychologist, tutor or educational consultant, you’re welcome to call about a family you’re working with. With the family’s written permission, Dr. Paul can share results and recommendations so everyone is working from the same plan.
